IDEELab Metal Mobile Training Unit RFP
Seeks proposals for a minimum 49-foot educational trailer with four electric flush slide-out sections for K-12 outreach in the Mississippi Association of Planning and Development Districts (MAPDDs) across the state. This trailer must have the electrical and spatial capacity for eight hands-on demonstration stations and their corresponding equipment (casting, CNC machining, composites, robotics, injection molding, additive manufacturing, quality control, and laser engraving) while accommodating a minimum of 24 students and two instructors per session. Appropriate cabinetry will also need to be accounted for, along with a room dedicated to storage. The trailer will need to be supported by a heavy-duty I-beam frame with three 8,000 lb axles, a six-point hydraulic leveling system, a three-ton HVAC system with two interior heads, and a 12kW diesel generator with a 40-gallon fuel cell.
