Developing a related Request for Proposals (RFP) to be issued after the RFEI project closes. Our experience in community engagement is mighty, but limited to our existing activities, and the team wants to expand our reach and sustainability for long-term advocacy of the current QueensLink project and future accessibility and mobility options. See attached file.

NYCEDC is seeking expressions of interest from maritime operators, vessel designers, logistics firms, and technology partners to develop an all-electric and/or zero-emissions container-on-barge and associated tug service between the Brooklyn Marine Terminal (BMT) and the future Hunts Point Marine Terminal (HPMT). The service must be capable of transporting at least 100 40-foot refrigerated containers (reefers) per sailing with continuous refrigeration capacity. The initiative aims to improve food resiliency, reduce highway congestion and emissions, and catalyze zero-emissions maritime technology, with HPMT expected to open in Q2 2030.
